This twining goes way faster than the coiling process I've had to take a step away from. Which makes sense, I guess, in that the twined baskets were more utilitarian than their coiled counterparts and took more of a beating in everyday native life, so they had to be a bit more disposable and easy to make repeatedly. The coiling was so tiny that my eyes and fingers were yelling at me to stop for a while... It's pretty tedious. So this basket, with its bright colors and speedy time frame made for a good break from monotony. The image shown is me trying to figure out how to strengthen the bottom edge of the triangle after finishing off the weave. A thick wire hanger seems to do the job well.
